Wikipedia Edit 3: New York Giants

The New York Giants and the game of football have a very special place in my heart. There's just something about the gladiatorial spirit of the game that really gets my blood flowing. I find it completely fascinating to watch these genetic super freaks fly around the field at lightening fast speeds and crash into each other with more bone jarring force than some small earthquakes. However, there is much more beauty and subtlety to the game than its violent nature would suggest. Offenses and defenses have become so sophisticated and innovative that they are really such a joy to watch if you truly understand the game. However, the NY Giants rarely display this type of sophistication in their schemes, and their poor execution is anything but beautiful. I'm from New York and have been raised a Giant fan (I'm moronically as loyal as they come) practically since birth, so watching this team nowadays is especially painful. To me, it seems glaringly obvious the team has to find more talented players for both sides of the ball. It is for this reason that the Giants were in such desperate need to make some serious off season free agent acquisitions, especially in light of their recent cuts and retirements. It was their utter failure to even make the slightest splash in the free agent pool that prompted me to add my two cents to the Giants' wikipedia article in the section entitled, "Modern Era: 1994 - Present."

Edit:
"Additionally, the Giants have remained relatively quiet in the 2007 offseason and have not signed a high profile free agent to date despite their glaring weaknesses at several positions. After cutting linebackers LaVar Arrington and Carlos Emmons, and the retirement of running back Tiki Barber, the team has not made any significant moves to replace these previous starters in the long term. It is widely speculated the Giants will wait to the 2007 NFL Draft to address the majority of their needs."
